Transient Liquid Phase Diffusion Bonding
In this experimental study, a rod of AlMMC consisting of 6061 matrix alloy and 15 wt.% (12.93 vol.%) silicon carbide (SiC) particulate reinforcement was TLPD bonded using a powdered mixture of silver and copper in a definite ratio. The bond can be obtained at different furnace temperates while being held for different soaking periods. In general, the bond strength increases with the increase in both furnace temperature and holding time. An effective joint efficiency of around 85% can be achieved by using this technology.

Investigation of material properties of woven glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite
In this experimental study, glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite samples were prepared for tensile and impact strength analysis. Woven roving mats (E-glass
fiber orientation 0 degree/90 degree, 300g/m2) were cut in measured dimensions and a mixture of Epoxy Resin (CY-205, Density-1.27gm/cm3), Hardener (HY 951, Density- 0.94 gm/cm3) and Acetone [(CH3)2CO, M= 38.08g/mol] was used to manufacture the glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite by hand lay-up method. The ratio of epoxy: hardener: acetone was varied and the tensile and impact
strength of the specimen were compared.

Design, Manufacture and Testing of a Hydraulic Ram
A hydraulic ram is a pump in which the momentum of a driving stream of water undergoing a small head drop is used to pump a small portion of the stream to a head considerably greater than that of the supply. In the current study, a hydraulic ram was designed, manufactured and tested.

Hybrid Vehicle Design and Manufacturing
Hybridization in automobiles can be regarded as a significant step in reducing greenhouse gases and harmful emissions. In the modern era, where gasoline powered vehicles are ruling the automotive industry; the technology of hybrid vehicles may reduce the consumption of fuel and become one of the most important eco-friendly technology in the near future. Further development of hybrid vehicles should be encouraged to reduce dependency on fossil fuel. In this project I designed and manufactured a vehicle with dual-power source.


Advanced Robotics
In this project, six different robots were assembled, programed and tested. They are: PC Controlled Robot, Photovore Robot, Obstacle Detecting and Avoiding Robot, Basic Line Follower Robot, DTMF based Mobile Controlled Robot and Sumo Robot. And a review of the basics of automation in manufacturing processes and the robot assembly procedures was also done.

Study of HEMMs
The various parts and components of all the Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) that were involved in the mining process were studied. The description of a few repairing procedures were documented. The data collection to evaluate the maintenance cost for each individual equipment to find out if the vehicles in use are profitable to be used in upcoming projects.
